Our Classroom Elf

I just wanted to let you know that we had a surprise delivered from the North Pole on Monday!  She came in this box and was ice cold!

Inside there was a letter introducing us to our classroom elf, Jingle Kringle.

If you have not heard, she is a mischievous elf.  Just this week she has hung from a trapeze, had a snowball fight with a Lego man, hidden inside our first aid kit, toilet papered our Christmas tree, and even found us a new friend!  Meet Randall Reindeer...
He was delivered in the same packaging as Jingle Kringle so we think Santa sent him!  Randall Reindeer even came with a Naugty List...
Be sure to ask your child where Jingle is hiding each day- it will be a great way to start the "What happened at school?" conversation!

Putting Others First

Last week we had an opportunity to do for others.  Mrs. Albright shared with us that there is a six year old little girl, in first grade - just like us, who is very ill.  Instead of presents and gifts, this year she is asking for a lifetime of Christmas cards.  We took our independent time and created handmade cards with thoughtful letters included.  Many of us shared our similarities, sent love and best wishes, etc.  The kids were giving of themselves and putting others ahead of themselves.  It was heartwarming to witness!  I wish I would have taken photos of the beautiful cards; however, I mailed them without thinking.  I believe this post is worthy even without photos...such giving children I get to spend time with each day!  Thank you parents!!!

Thanksgiving Lunch

We are THANKFUL for all of our supportive parents and special guests who were able to join us for Thanksgiving Lunch this year.  If you missed it, please feel free to stop by and have lunch with your child.
We eat at 11:15am.

Guest Reader!

We were so excited to have earned 10 Dolphin Dollars!

Our entire class has to be caught being a respectful, responsible, role model in order to earn just one.  We are thrilled to say we earned ten and picked our first reward -a guest reader.
Mrs. Ginn, our amazing principal, was our visitor.

She came to read a special story to us in November
(Mrs. Albright is a little behind in posting).
